Reminders & Planning Prompts
Prototyping
Reminders and planning prompts help users follow through on intentions by prompting action at the right moment. They bridge the gap between wanting to do something and actually doing it.
Reminders are simple time-based triggers. Planning prompts go further by helping users plan when, where, and how they'll take action.
Key research: Implementation intentions ("I will do X at Y time in Z place") dramatically increase follow-through rates.
