Remind of Prior Commitment to Act

UX Best Practices

Reminding users of prior commitments leverages the psychological principle of consistency — people want to act in line with their past statements and actions.

Once someone commits to something (even small), they're more likely to follow through, especially if the commitment was voluntary and public.

Example: "You told us your goal was to read 20 books this year. You're on book #7 — keep going!"
